He is debuting at the top of the main shops of the country: Top 10 in Mixup, no. 3 in the General Charts of iTunes, no. 1 on the alternative Chart and no. 1 in the alternative Spanish Chart.
2016 marks the beginning of a new stage for Siddhartha. After nearly 10 years in the indie genre, Siddhartha joined Sony Music, taking a major step in his career. This is how Siddhartha released his Unicos (Only) album. Under the production of Didi Gutman (Brazilian Girls) and himself. Gutman, spearheaded this project as a producer as well as having previously worked on albums with Porter Moctezuma, friend and collaborator of Sidd.
Unicos was recorded in the cities of New York and Guadalajara, mixed by Noah Shain (James Bay) in Los Angeles and mastered by Chab Mastering (Random Access Memories, Indochine, Selah Sue, Air, Yelle, León Larregui) in Paris.
This new material, in the words of Siddhartha, is a project that he feels most satisfied with and is a personal biography. Experiences that have occurred over the past two years are focused in the album. His work as a singer and composer improved substantially thanks largely to the more than 300 shows in his last tour.
Siddhartha will start his tour in the United States this weekend.
