RICARDO MONTANER UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “ME VA A EXTRAÑAR” – HIS DUET WITH JULIÓN ÁLVAREZ Y SU NORTEÑO BANDA

MIAMI (September 19, 2016) – In conjunction with the release of his version of “Aunque Ahora Estés con Él” (Although You’re With Him Now), the singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner unveils another single, a new version of his classic hit “Me Va a Extrañar” (She’s Going to Miss Me), featuring Julión Alvarez y Su Norteño Banda.

Montaner is pleased with the way the collaboration took shape: “Ever since we worked together on La Voz (The Voice) Mexico, we became friends and wanted to do a collaboration. It happened first with the song ‘No Te Vayas’ (Don’t Go), which was such a big hit that I now bring a Sinaloan banda with me on my shows in Mexico. This song made an impact with fans. Now we return with a new version of one of the most important songs of my career, one of my audience’s favorites – ‘Me Va a Extrañar’.”

He adds, “I’m honored to be joined by my friend Julión on this single which is a tribute to Mexican music. He is a very talented man and an even better human being. A man of his word who has a lovely family.”

Interviewed at the The Hit Factory Criteria Miami studios, where he was laying down vocal tracks, Julión added: “I know almost all of Ricardo’s songs. Singing with him has been a gratifying experience. We plan to do an album together at some point.”

Written by Montaner, “Me Va a Extrañar” is included on his forthcoming album Ida y Vuelta (Round Trip), which will be released October 28. The title refers to the album’s unique two-way tribute concept, which finds Montaner performing 10 of his greatest hits with Mexican artists, while Montaner returns the favor, duetting with them on their biggest hits.

“Me Va a Extrañar,” featuring Julión Alvarez y Su Norteño Banda, is available at all digital-music outlets.
